I posted a few minutes ago about moving to Kansas soon.. I searched through the Realtors page and found that Kensington is actually very close to Smith Center.. I hope to hear from someone that lives in this area .. Maybe they are able to help me with finding out about their ordnance's and bylaws..
things I have questions about are..

do I need to have a building permit to put a fence up for our Dogs ??
And Speaking of Dogs.. I have done Dachshund rescue for over 22 years.. And I do own 7 Dachshunds girls.. All have been spayed and are all elderly .. all but one are between 9 - 15 years young ..
Thank You in advance.. Dezzerea

I grew up in that area & have family there. As far as I know, no building permits needed to put up a fence for the dogs. You might talk to the realtor, but I don't believe there is any restriction on number of dogs except for state laws. You can get a house there very reasonably priced. The town only has about 500 people, but there's a grocery store, library, school, liquor store and some other small businesses.

Kensington is a nice little town 17 miles from Smith Center. Like mentioned it still has it's own things to keep you going, but if you need a little more Smith Center is near.
