I never pay a contractor in advance. If their credit ain't goof enough to get supplies, then they are not somebody I want to deal with. I have had a deck, a roof and siding done and NEVER paid a CENT up front.

The FBI has no jurisdiction over this. Local police will not get involved unless there is a large pattern showing intentional fraud.
Take hime to court small claims and get a judgment, if you have a correct address and he does not refund after the judgment, you then have to go back and have him show cause as to why he did not obay the court. Then you can have property attached. It is a long road but the one you have to take.

After over 3 months of him never even showing up to measure for the job, I was finally able to get a partial refund from him. My lawyer said that was probably as good as I was going to get, so I took it.
Stay far away from this guy and let everyone you know what kind of business he does!

Some victims don't get that far and loose alot more money.
Remember what "KevK", said, that's the way to go.
File a complaint with the BBB so he's on their record of "Bad Buisinesses". Then other people will know when he's checked out.

All but $250, I consider myself lucky to get that.

Royal Fence, Jay Pyle
Well I finally got mine done. And would you believe he called me up begging me to retract my BBB complaint?? I spoke with another person who had also gone through a difficult time with Jay Pyle and they said he called him also. Jay Pyle said some abusive things about me so that made it easier to answer his request to withdraw the BBB complaint. Not only did I not withdraw it I added to it about the material he used on my fence. Some of the boards are in bad shape and are honestly an eye sore.
My next door neighbor is now going through the same thing with Pyle. He did not know it but his wife hired him not knowing the history I had with him. She did it as a gift to her husband. But, in true Pyle fashion he shows up, puts a board or two up and leaves for days or weeks at a time without contact.
This guy is clueless when it comes to running a business.

Good work, I'm glad you turned his a$$ in.
Do you know if he's related to "Gomer" and "Goober"?
