I'm looking at a business opportunity in Goddard Kansas. The business type is insurance, so I want to find out about household growth, business growth, and income growth in Goddard.

Can anyone offer data or firsthand experience?

Are people relocating from Wichita to Goddard? I noticed that although it's still very small it seems to be growing in population, from about 2,000 in the year 2000 to maybe 3500 today.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Also, I forgot to ask: Is it a nice place to live? Clean, safe, etc.?
Thanks!

Thumbs up Goddard is great!

I live 6 miles west of Goddard and I would highly recommend moving to Goddard. It essentially blends into the west side of Wichita so it is not way out "in the country". Yet, there are plently of rural areas and nwide open spaces. The school system is one of the best in the state. There is a growing business industry. There are enough stores and restaurants that one wouldn't have to "go to Wichita" for "supplies"!! Great city Library, pool, parks and lots of locally owned business. It constinues to grow faster than most communities around Wichita and that's expected to continue. Hope that helps- of course its just personal opinion, but I think Goddard is pretty great! Good luck to you and God Bless!

Goddard is really nice. I don't have any complaints. I was supposed to live here and get a new home, but my husband got laid off from Learjet and we had to move to Virginia.

We moved from Wichita last year and resided in the Goddard school district. I know the school system is great. The town is very small and I would assume that most insurance business would be from the local residents. Although they have stores for emergencies, I can't imagine doing my weekly shopping there when Wichita has the Dillon stores, Walmart and Target. Good luck.

A very nice area to be in. The population base is deceptive as the rural areas around there are fairly densely populated as well. It is growing as is that whole area. Glen
