My wife and I live in Hays Ks right now, but we're going to be moving to Wichita in a couple months. I'm looking for advice on neighborhoods, landlords, rentals, ect. We're looking for a place that's relatively cheap (under $600 a month), preferably a house, and preferably in the city (but not the ghetto). I don't have to live in a nice neighborhood... I just don't want ot have to worry about my wife when she's by herself. We'll be looking at two places in the Riverside area, but they're on the expensive side of our budget. I've also talked to some people about a few different places in the Oaklawn area- not so sure about that area from what I've heard. What do ya'll think? Any suggestions?

The southside is mostly low-income housing, the eastside is verynice (traffic also is a bit heavier mostly along rock) The westside is growing rapidly and the north is more industrial and a bad area in the aspect of crime..
hope this helps!! |
