Gosh, I have a hard enough time trying to figure out what is going on in my own state to worry about what is happening in the other states. I did a couple of months ago, look the list of states just to see how the primaries would go down. I figure if their procedure suits them............

The thing is, many Americans live in several different states throughout the course of their lives, so have to engage in politics in a variety of ways. I've lived in 15 different states now, and it gets confusing.

As I mentioned, I lived in Kansas twice. Neither time (1982 and 1997) was a presidential election year.

Standardizing the process nationally would make sense to me, but then I'm old now and know it won't happen in my lifetime.

Have a great rest of your Winter, Kansans! We're expecting a blizzard tomorrow.

Since the organizations in place are private, it's up to them with regards to how they select their candidates.

I have to agree though that the electoral college system in it's current form give wayyyy too much power to a few states like Florida in particular but those issues seem to ebb and flow over time so todays fix might be tomorrows problem.

Anyway, happy shoveling and god help us with the current crop of crap we have running for president.

Yeah, that's all we could come up with? I won't vote R since the top three seem to want to beat the gays back to 1950 and double down on military spending. Half the D's hate Hillary, and I'm not "feelin' the Bern" at all. (He could accomplish about nothing he promises). This election is just depressing.
