If you lived in Wichita for any amount of time, you would see that most of the middle ages couples have good jobs that support their families. This is a great city for jobs. Honestly, do you want Wichita to turn into crime-ridden, traffic-plauged, stinky-smogged NYC?

That is where we shop in Atlanta- Kroger but many people don't know that Kroger and Dillions are really the SAME store with a different name. Kroger bought Dillions but apparently decided to leave the well established name alone.

Jobs? Maybe blue-collar jobs.

I'm in the IT field, and I'm having TROUBLE. I'm doing contract work right now and I want the hell out of it. Tired of all the driving and expense reports I must keep track of and no benefits whatsoever. I'm ready to settle down and have a REAL job. I'm evidently doing something wrong because I landed only one interview out of countless résumé submissions and phone calls... The one position I was interviewed for was awarded to another candidate... Nobody freakin' calls me back!

Job hunting has to be the hardest "job" anyone can have. (Other than being a parent, so I've heard.)

No, I disagree. I had to hunt for a job...took me 5 months and I was only able to get a part time job at the library. Found out that lots of people in Wichita prefer to hire people that do not have contract or temp work on their resume (Austin, TX, economy runs on contract/temp work...)..they prefer to hire people that have stayed at the same company/job for 2-10 years! They also prefer to hire degreed people or people that they grew up with. They do not want to hire a hard working person who happens to be disabled (deaf). That's why I'm back in school.
