Default Tornado Chase Vacation

My partner and I have been talking about how exciting it would be to go on a tornado hunting vacation for say a week, and Kansas seems to be the place to do it. I have seen 9 tornadoes in my life, we actually had 2 waterspouts in Los Angeles within the last month, but we want to see some good action. Where would be the best city to visit where we would be most likely to encounter a tornado? Anybody know of those groups that take people on chases? How one would contact them? Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, severe weather season starts in a couple of months.
If you want to do some storm chasing I would look at the overall weather forecast a few days in advance so you know where the severe weather outbreaks are going to be. Storm chasing is not for the weak minded and experienced storm chasers are a must to be around if you do not have any background. It is hard for me to recommend a particular area due to the fact that severe weather is always variable on location when it does occur.

To follow severe weather you should monitor this website:
Mesoscale discussions are interesting to follow if severe weather is occuring in a particular area.
