Default Question for military folks And aircraft industry in WICHITA

Hi, I know that military folks never know where they might wind up being transferred to. But I am curious as to where the many of the people now stationed at McConnell seem to come from. Like any particular job duties at one base that are liable to be sent to McConnell. For example in the Navy, if you are on a sub, you go to bases that deal with subs. (of course) Not sure if this makes sense but maybe someone military can shed some light. Also, any specific areas might the aircraft industry be drawing from as far as bringing folks here for those types of jobs. Not sure where all these aircraft builders/businesses are....... besides here!
Any info appreciated. Thanks!

BTW-thinking of looking into house swapping from Wichita, case you're wondering why I am wondering Just trying to figure what areas/cities to do adverts in.
