Looking to relocate (Kansas City, Lenexa: relocating, job, home)

I am 33 years old I currently live in Antelope California I have 3 Children 3, 5, and 14 I have been looking to relocate to Missouri for quite some time now. This will be a brand new start .

My Children have alot of Family in the St. Louis Missouri Area and I have family in Kansas City Kansas./MO Also my Employer just recently aquired a company in Lenexa Kansas. I will be visiting within the next 3 months and would like to know is there an in between State?

I've done some research and see that Kansas City Kansas is the Satellite city or state to Kansas City Missouri something like that. As I mentioned before I may be relocating soon if all goes well with my current Employer Ihave already researched Johnson County which is on the pricey side. I know the distance is about 5 hours from Kansas City Missouri to St. Louis Missouri which is ok for visiting Family once in a while.

I most likely will be telecommuting from home but can be no more than 1-2 hours away from the Job Site. I have considered moving to Kansas City Missouri if it is less than 1 hour to lenexa and less than 5 hours to Jefferson City Missouri.

Can someone give me some helpful information about the distance between these Cities

Kansas City is split in both MO and KS. KC MO being the larger of the two. They are both tied to the KC Metro area. Lenexa is a very short drive from KC MO (10 minutes or so). St. Louis by car is about 4 hours away. And Jefferson City is about 3 or 3.5 hours away. Anything else you would like to know? Have a great day. -Roger
