Ottawa has had some problems with flooding recently, last Spring was quite a good example where the flood gates actually had to be pulled shut, and a lot of damage on the North end of town had to be repaired. Do you have a preference for which part of town? Are you planning to commute or go to school in Ottawa?
I ask because I could really help you find what you need if I could know a few more details. Do you need in town or would you consider a rural home or a rural subdivision? Have you chosen Ottawa b/c the home prices are lower than KC subburbs or city limits of Lawrence? Have you considered Baldwin City at all?
