Default ottawa,ks

We will be moving to Ottawa as soon as we sell our house. Is there any part of Ottawa that doesn't flood?

They do have flood gates to keep the town from flooding. I have only seen pictures of the floods. But it looked like that the biggest part of town does not flood.

Ottawa has had some problems with flooding recently, last Spring was quite a good example where the flood gates actually had to be pulled shut, and a lot of damage on the North end of town had to be repaired. Do you have a preference for which part of town? Are you planning to commute or go to school in Ottawa?

I ask because I could really help you find what you need if I could know a few more details. Do you need in town or would you consider a rural home or a rural subdivision? Have you chosen Ottawa b/c the home prices are lower than KC subburbs or city limits of Lawrence? Have you considered Baldwin City at all? I live and work as a Realtor in Baldwin City which is just a few miles North of Ottawa. Please let me know if I can help in your search or move.

Balwin City might be an option. Isn't it 15 miles from Ottawa?
