Default El Grande Mexican Buffet

El Grande Mexican Buffet on 95th st. in Overland Park, KS used to be this wonderful restaurant.

My GF and I ate there one time when we were in Kansas City to go shopping and this place was great. They had so much food to choose from: Taco bar, Enchiladas, Burritos, Toquitos, Salads, Soups, Chips & Salsa, Gucomole, other types of fried delicious things and all this was set up like a Chinese buffet.

They also served beer and the price was like $7 per person for dinner... excellent...

We lived in Omaha and made the trip again a few months later and were expecting to eat some great Mexican all-you-can-eat but when we got to El Grande it was closed

If anyone on here has ever eaten there then you know what a great place it really was... I wish someone would reopen it or something...

It really was a great place!

Our family tried it once, but we did not care for it and never went back. The food on the buffet line was cold, and it tasted like freezer. (Maybe we just went on a bad day) There are several other nice little mexican restaurants nearby. Jose Peppers at 103rd and Metcalf and Kokopelli's at 95th and Nall, to name a few. You will probably pay more than $7 for a dinner though.
