What in the name of Heaven would make you want to move to Lebanon? Man, not much left there any more. Housing would be cheap. Smith Center would have a grocery store and hardware. You would have to go to either Salina, Kansas or Hastings or Grand Island, NE for shopping. All about 100 miles out. Smith Center has a good little hospital. My first was born there.

Google the Smith Center Chamber of commerce they will have the detailed info on Lebanon, it is in Smith County.

If you are looking to get away from it all, that is a good place to go. As in all little towns, it is cliquish.

During the 1930's, Gladys E. McArdle, who managed the Owl Theatre in Lebanon wrote wonderful short movie reviews for the "What the Picture Did For Me" section of the Motion Picture Herald.
