Relatives near there, never been there
I have driven by it before...It is a really, really small town (only one exit, 281 I believe off of I-70), and you will have to go to Abilene or Salina to really do anything. I am not sure if you are going to find anyone on here who knows anything in particular about it, since it is such a small town in Mid-Central KS.
I have driven by there before, and it is about 5 miles down from the exit to catch the actual town.
Is there a reason you are looking to move there?

Small Town Living
Hey - I have lived in Enterprise, KS for the past 20 years. It is a quiet little town and is a nice area to raise a family. No crime, everyone knows each other and their dogs. O.K. you have to drive 7 miles to Abilene to grocery shop and there is a discount store there for clothing. If you want to live in an area where you can literally leave the keys in your car, your doors unlocked and let your kids ride their bikes around town while you run to the store, then this is the place to come.

I actually lived there for a year while i was at boarding school. All i remember is that there was no place to go except the pump mart which was a gas station. If you wanted stores or fast food you had to drive to Abilene to get it. I believe there was a plastics factory where lots of people worked, but other than that i dont know of any other jobs.

I grew up in enterprise and attended usd 473 school district. Wonderful town and people. Everyone knows most everyone and there is very little crime. My husband worked law enforcement in that town for a few years and then received another job in a town in SE KS a little larger than Enterprise in law enforcement. After moving here and having children you realize how good you actually had it in Enterprise. Yes you do have to drive to do anything, but that is a small price to pay for wonderful neighbors, a clean environment and safety. The school district is fabulous after comparing it to others. Often have considered moving back there after experiencing other towns in KS of comparable size. Again not a lot to do there, but maybe play in the park, go to a ballgame, go for a walk and get quality time with friends and family. You weigh the odds and decide what is important to you.
