Home for rent outside Topeka, Kansas (Junction City, Carbondale: how much, house, buying)

We are moving before school starts to the Topeka area and would like to rent a house in a small community to the south or west of Topeka. We are renting to get to know the community first before buying. We prefer small communities because we come from White City (south of Junction City) and are really sad to be leaving; new job opportunity.

I'm sure that you have already looked but Carbondale adn the Auburn areas sounds like where you want to be. The problem is that I don't think the papers are online. Both will have adds in the Topeka paper which can be seen online. There is a Osage county paper so you might look and see if you can subscribe, that would cover Carbondale and south. Hope this helps

We would like to pay around $900. We need atleast 3 bedrooms with a fenced yard and a garage. We would like to stay in a smaller community close to Topeka. My husband needs to be within 30 miles of his work at 5500 or so SW Topeka Blvd. Thanks for helping out.
