Liberal and Conservative are pretty much different words for Democrat and Republican.
Democrat = Liberal
Republican = Conservative

No, Liberal is quite Conservative.
The SW portion of KS is MUCH MUCH different compared with the eastern half of KS in just about every way.

I'm pretty sure I know what you mean by liberal.
To answer your question... NOT at all.

It's like when you call a fat man "Slim" or a bald man "Curly". Yeah, "Liberal" is like that!

Within the american context a conservative is someone who worships
themself thru the vehicle of worshiping their country.What scientists call
"civic religion". Liberals tend to look at things more on a case by case basis
while conservatives tend to view things in a "my country right or wrong" way.
In a international perspective,american liberals are seen as center-right
while american conservatives are seen as reactionary right.

Not only no but HELL no! Liberal is about as right wing a place as you can ever get. Voted 80% for W Bush, only 20% for Kerry! They have no gay pride parades there either.
But the good news is that the town is now majority minority- about 50% Mexican and 4% black. So hopefully, one the Mexicans get their citizenship and voting rights, the town of Liberal will become more liberal!
