Well, I do hear a lot about how NYC taxes/regulations tends to hold back most areas of upstate New York. I am sure you will find that the COL is quite affordable in Kansas and the property taxes lower. Fort Scott is in a nice centralized location between Kansas City and Joplin, MO.
