during my last 2 trips in ks ive had to eat at the sirloin stockade in ottowa.... i belive they have another location . in coffeeville area. i go out of my way to eat there...they have such an exceelnt sellection and all tasting homeade..can anyone sles offer feedback on this restaurant or others thanks

Sirloin Stockade, are you kidding me!!??? Go to Chicken Annies south of Pittsburg, best chicken you will ever eat!

thank you briansgi i will defenitley try chicken annies ... when im in pittsburg late this month.. i also heard there was another chicken place in pittsburg that lawyas tries to compete with anniies/// i can t wait to try chciken annies..

Here is the total low down on the best chicken in the world in/around Pittsburg:

1) Original Chicken Annies
2) Chicken Annie's annex (south of Pittsburg)
3) Chicken Mary's
4) Barto's Idle Hour - this is in Frontenac, right by Pittsburg

All are outstanding! I live outside Tulsa and occasionally drive all the way to Pittsburg just to eat their chicken, it's that good!!

If you're going to be right in Pittsburg try Otto's Cafe. Great home cooked food. It's right next to the Stilwell Hotel, about 6th or 7th and Broadway and on the west side of the street.

i cant wait to try all the restaurunts in cluding ottos.. as i will be in pittsburg area for several days.. also fort scott.. ive eaten at mayberrys there which is pretty good.. im gonna sample all the chicken places in pittsburg and cast my vote... i also like sausge gravy and biscuits and found the best in a diner south of ottowa but before garnett yrs ago.. i am hoping they are still opened i cant rember the name of the diner but i think it was right off the highway 59
