Moving to Wichita, curious about the area. (apartments, rent)

In the next few months I will be moving to Wichita, as my fiance is stationed at McConnels AFB. I was curious about the area I am planning to move to. It is the Governeour Manor apartments, located at 7025 East Lincoln St, close to the AFB. I am moving from Lexington, Ky, a city with roughly the same population as Wichita, thought slightly smaller. I've lived in my fair share of rough neighborhoods in the past, but then again I am not sure sure Lexington has that terrible of a crime rate. I was just curious if this was a safe area to live in. If it is not, are there any other suggestions with similar prices such as this? I have just recently graduated college so I am looking for an apartment with decent rent rates. Doesn't need to be big, it will be just me there for awhile until we are able to get married and get base housing. Thanks for any freedback you can share.

I can't speak to the crime in that area, but Wichita has a great cost of living in general. I did a Google search on Governeour Manor and discovered those five reviews. You probably saw them too.

I have a friend who does maintenance at Wildwood Apartments. I actually stayed there before I knew him. It wasn't like living in a luxury home, but it is not a bad neighborhood. And the rent wasn't bad. The pool is small. But Jim does a good job taking care of the place.

Thank you for the reply I was starting to worry since I hadn't heard anything back, lol. And no, I am not worried about having a luxury home or anything, hehe, just the area its self. One thing about Governeour Manor that my fiance liked was that the buildings all had keycode limited access. He's pretty worried about me moving so far from home and living in an apartment he wont be able to stay with me at for awhile, so hes wanting to make sure I will be in a safe area. That part of town is fine. You won't have any trouble there.
