It is a very small town near Lawrence, KS that is gaining in population. It is close to I-70, which makes it a reasonable commute to Topeka, KS. The farmland around that area in the Kansas River Valley has very rich soils.

It was one of the territorial capitals of Kansas before Kansas became a state. It probably would have become the state capital if the pro-slavery people had their way. Thank God the abolitionists won and put the capital in Topeka.

It's a really small town that's off the main highways. Most Kansans have probably never been there or been through it. Maybe one of the 600 people who lives there will give you the scoop.
