I'm sorry, I don't know anything about Wichita State University (I live near Kansas City).
There are definitely four seasons in Wichita. Hot and humid in the summer, with daily highs in the 90-105 F range. Winters can be cold and snowy like this winter. We've had a month of very cold weather (only rarely above freezing) with ice, sleet, and snow. Falls are generally very nice, with clear dry days in October. Trees and early flowers start to bloom in late March, but the weather can still be below freezing occassionally into April.
Hope that helps some!

Wichita State has an excellent business program. Lots of entrepreneurs started out here in Wichita.

WSU is a transient school-meaning it has lots of kids who live at home and commute to school, so there's not much of a university culture, like you would find at an isolated, majority on-campus housing school such as Kansas State or University of Kansas. Also, many of the Aerospace companies in town, such as Boeing, send employees to WSU for additional training and degree advancement. They have an excellent basketball team (mid major). The Mascot is a Shocker, aka a wooshocker, aka, a collection of wheat threshes. It feels intimate and small because of its transient nature, more like a high school (which is nice).

I went to WSU for a couple of semesters and really liked it. True, there is no campus life, but there is a lot of cultural diversity and off campus housing is very affordable. It's a very good school. I was taking calculus and chemistry, not business classes, but I've heard good things. It's very easy to make friends here, and it's an affordable education.

I graduated from Wichita State and thought it to be a pretty good school. You should be able to find a job OK but of course it depends on what you are looking for. Wichita can get pretty cold in the winter for a couple of months and hot in the summer for a couple of months, spring and fall are nice. I don't think you will have a problem here.
