Whats it like in the 66104 in KC Kansas (Shawnee, Leavenworth: neighborhood, camps)

What is it like living in the 66104 is it raw.

I don't have any exact info about that zipcode but if it is anyhere in KCKS; then it is close to the corner of 3rd & gunfight ave which is real close to mugger ave and driveby shooting blvd. Yes those are just made up streets. I cannot in good conscience reccomened anyone living in KCKS. Eventually you will be in downtown KCKS or drive thru the real bad areas.
The lodge i am affilliated with is in KCKS and we have to hire a secrurity guard to guard us while we have our meetings. At one meeting they mentioned a lodge brother that had been mugged in his own driveway and was not expected to live thru it. I was appalled at how unconcerned or should i say nonchalant the other lodge brothers were about it. It is like the are just used to this kinda stuff; because they have all lived there for years.

Perhaps people's attitudes will change now that they want to represent themselves as national citizens, who have an image to shine. We can only hope collective attitudes change for the better, now that we have a President Elect who will champion human rights for everyone, and hopefully will unbind the stranglehold and devious torture that has existed against our Constititution and Bill of Rights. A more just society can exist, and will prevail when people see what they are doing in the name of base 'hood gangsterism. It's not that we want neighborhood narco gangsters to be placed under RICO ACT and placed in remote desert prison camps, as they employ their terrorism against so many good and decent people! If they want to act as terrorists, then they need to visit the vast desert wastelands and stripped of all their coercive and terrorist powers for forty months plus forty days and forty nights to get right with the world. It doesn't matter what city, what township, what burg, when narco gang neighborhood terrorists want to seize the day against all good citizens. May we include the precious Cocaine Importa Agency, too?

I grew up at 18th and Parallel and things weren't bad then. My folks moved to 57th and Leavenworth Road and spent the remainder of their lives there. My brother lived at 66th and Kimball until his death. They are all in that zipcode. I haven't been "home" in 5 years so hope things haven't changed drastically since my brother's funeral--cancer, not gun related. I do believe Johnson County is probably safer.
