My husband is black and holds an MBA, but has had trouble moving up in the corporate world. He is usually very well liked and has great people skills, but movement is just not happening. I feel like we should move to a larger city on the coast. Any suggestions?

You should ask this under the General Forums, under the State Forums, under Business thread.

Has he been working for the same company all this time and not been promoted enough to suit him/you? If that's the case perhaps he should change companies. I know the company I work for does an excellent job of placing blacks in some of the highest positions in our company. It's not a quota thing either, they are extremely good at what they do and they are much deserving of their success. I'm not sure going to the extreme of moving to an area clear across the country is the answer.
