Alot of the resentment comes from the uncontrolled Illegal Immigration.
Why did people think they can sneak into my country, break my laws and..
Then expect to be welcomed?

If an American could make $50-$75 dollars per hour cleaning motels in Canada, there would be a whole lot of us illegaly working over there. I would bet you would put up with all the anti-American stuff too if you could support your family in the USA on an hour and a half of your labor out of a 40 hour week . I would stick it out for about ten years an retire. I taked to a school janitor in California who had a ranch in Mexico paid for.

Yeah, but it's intellectually incontinent when people conflate 'Mexican,' 'Hispanic,' and 'illegal alien' as though the three are automatically synonymous. Many Hispanics' ancestors have been here a century longer than my own, if not more. Many Hispanics are not Mexican. Many Hispanics are immigrants (by definition, legal). Many illegal aliens (because 'illegal immigrant' is like saying 'lawful arsonist'; if it's lawful, it isn't arson) are not only not Mexican, but not Hispanic.
The only fair way to see the issue is to oppose the illegal entry regardless of where it comes from. I'm a rock-ribbed enemy of all illegal entry, to the extreme of wanting deadly force employed to prevent it--but when I see a Hispanic person I certainly don't first think 'illegal alien.' That would be about as fair as looking at an Asian person and thinking 'math genius', or looking at a crew-cut white with a drawl (which I happen to be) and thinking 'bigot'.
It's the same kind of mental indistinctness that has most Americans believing that all Arabs are Muslims and all Muslims are Arabs--never mind that Indonesia is the largest Islamic country by population, and that neither Turks nor Iranians are Arabs (though most are Muslims).

However I have heard similar stories from Midwestern states. When they see Texas plates they have a greater tendency to pull them over (pssssst.....it's because of all the drug trafficing that comes from Mexico through Texas).

I know that's the reason why. But like I said, it's profiling. It's against the law, and nobody should tolerate it. It gives law enforcement an excuse to hassle people. It's unconstitutional and a little bit scary. I hope someday somebody sues. We did absolutely nothing wrong.

My point was that with the strong feelings about Immigration it
Fuels resentment. And sometimes people that have been here for generations..
Get lumped in with illegals based on appearance.

I know. It was simply a good opportunity to deconstruct the fundamental fallacies in the public perception on the topic. Not that American public opinion is short of those, of course, nor that such opportunities are any sort of rarity.

There are a TON of Texas Plates in KS

He asked to search our car, which I consented to as a. we had nothing to hide and b. I figured he'd give us a bs ticket if we said no. So there I was with my family and my daughter on the side of I-35 who was 6 at the time with traffic whizzing by as at 70 miles an hour. There was no reason whatsoever for him to pull us over. His reason was probable cause due to Texas plates. Needless to say, I go around Kansas now and will never step foot in Kansas ever again. And I told all my friends, all my co-workers, family etc to avoid Kansas also. And I truly hope everyone else that was pulled over in our situation did the same. I don't put up with profiling.

Kansas is FULL of profiling - not just racial, but state, county, and every other thing. I would often get asked about being "out of my area" because of the county stickers that Kansas puts on their plates - and when everyone saw "JO" on my plates, they assumed I was a rich snob, just like when people see "WY" they assume you are poor and live in the ghetto.
However, License discrimination is not solely a Kansas/Texas thing, and as often as it has to do with race, it sometimes doesn't. I don't care if you are White/Black/Hispanic/Green, if you drive through Ohio with Out-Of-State Plates you WILL get pulled over by Ohio State Troopers. They HATE everyone who has out of state plates (especially my old state, Michigan) and will definitely not hesitate to give you a ticket for your full miles over.
It really sucks that this exists, but unfortunately, it does. It's up to you if you want to pursue some sort of legal action, but I doubt anything will change the "Good Old Boy" attitude that seems to be prevalent in Kansas.

It can confer advantages, though. If your tags say CS, they might assume you are a cowboy or cowgirl, and thus very likely to deliver a major beatdown if they give you any guff. Chase County has an old and somewhat deserved reputation for physical solutions to interpersonal problems.

What goes around comes around... We're not going into Mexico demanding they become like the USA and accommodate our people. It seems they are doing that to us though... It's only natural people are going to be hostile when folks talk about taking their land and killing them off...
Miguel Perez of Cal State-Northridge's MEChA chapter: "The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing would commence: Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled -- opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power."
Mario Obeldo, former head of MALDEF illegal alien invasion ''California is going to be a Hispanic state," said Mario Obeldo, former head of MALDEF. "Anyone who does not like it should leave."
"The border remains a military zone. We remain a hunted people. Now you think you have a destiny to fulfill in the land that historically has been ours for forty thousand years. And we're a new Mestizo nation. And they want us to discuss civil rights. Civil rights. What law made by white men to oppress all of us of color, female and male. This is our homeland. We cannot - we will not- and we must not be made illegal in our own homeland. We are not immigrants that came from another country to another country. We are migrants, free to travel the length and breadth of the Americas because we belong here. We are millions. We just have to survive. We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. It's a matter of time. The explosion is in our population."

There's the heart of the problem. The assumption that because a person even remotely looks like they might be related to a Mexican, they must be here illegally.
My favorite line is, "I don't have anything against Mexicans, just the illegal ones."
