Some of my ancestors were immigrants, and they toughed things out through the Depression, they didn't tuck tail and run off to nations where conditions weren't as bad. They kept their focus and stayed the course.

The fact they are leaving when times are tough, simply illustrates they were never worthy to be here to begin with. The point is that we don't need them to function as a nation.

Remember that "day without immigrants" crap a few years ago? Things got on fine...

What if we had a "day without Americans" and two-thirds of the workers simply refused to go to work for a week? What would happen then?

America can get along just fine without the presence of 30-50 million people who are willing to leave at the first sign of trouble/difficulty.

If all it takes to get rid of the other 30-40 million of them is a total economic implosion and a new Great Depression, it might be worthwhile. Once we emerge from the coming Depression, we won't have to worry about public services such as hospitals and schools being over-burdened to the point of closing. We also won't have to worry about MS-13 and similar street gangs.

Opportunistic mercenary types flock to America to make money, I hope the ability for them to make money grinds/crashes to a halt. It'll help rid our nation of people who never wanted to contribute, only take, take, take.

I personally do not think it is something to complain about. Mexicans are in every city and that is not going to change. People can complain but they are not going anywhere. Not all are illegal, just a percentage. They dont bother me on any level unless they are commiting crimes. Anyone who does illegal activity bothers me. People need to stop complaining here on CD and complain to someone who can do something about it.

Such as entering the country without authorization? That's an illegal activity, a violation of Federal law. Attempting to elude immigration authorities isn't legal either.

Complain to who? There's no one to complain to. As long as cheap labor benefits our precious corporations, and those who want inexpensive home maintenance work and domestic servants, and just about everyone else who wants prices not to rise, the government will keep winking at illegal aliens.

If our government wanted to stop it, it could do so in numerous ways without resorting to my personal preference (force). Our government doesn't. Bill the executive is happy that his P&L statement looks good thanks to illegal aliens, and he enjoys having his lawn mowed and his garden weeded for a low price. Bill and his ilk run the government, and they have the money to buy the government and courts, so good luck taking on that cozy machine.

Anyone who is breaking the law should face the consequences. Nobody is disputing that. And yes, coming in illegally - is illegal.

The issue is that NOT everyone who remotely looks Hispanic is an illegal alien!

There are a great number of people in Kansas who make NO distinction between those who are here illegally and those who ARE completely legal citizens, whose parents, grandparents and great grandparents have always been completely legal citizens. They dislike them ALL while claiming only to dislike the "illegals".

That is based on racism and I see a lot of it in Kansas.

The discussion is a waste of space. Let's see you defend the blacks whose ancestors were brought over in chains. I lived through the 50's & 60's when they were fighting for civil rights because they were considered less than human. Give me a break as I get tired of hearing about the poor Hispanics since they have had it really easy here in my opinion. We were in Arizona for 6 years also so I know a little about the immigrant problem.
