Garden City Gang Info. (Wichita, Dodge City: live in, centers, gangs)

Hi there!...my family and I are preparing to move to Garden City ks and we are wondering about if you guys can give info. on Garden City gangs and what areas to avoid.
if you can give me the gangs name that will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

P.S. by the way i have heard that the city is struggling on gang graffiti problem

Most small kansas towns have a way of taking care of gang activity in a silent way. I suggest if your moving there you not accociate,talk,or even look at a gang. Get a job and avoid the wrong croud and youll be fine. Its not at all like california.

Garden City is 44% hispanic, according to CityData.
Odds are there will be some gang and social problems, unless somehow Garden City is different than other cities with the same demographics.

probably the largest gang here is the surenos, often known as southside here, and a gang called the "aztecs", which are in an alliance of gangs called westside. just dont go down to buffalo jones: thats a bad place to be at night.

My friend that moved to LA has told me that these gangs are active in GArden city......playboy surenos,Brown pride gangster,brown pride villians,brown pride aztecs,South side orphans, KBC,Norte,Surenos,warriors, TSV,MCB,AGC,Folk Nation,Latin Kings

I wouldn't worry too much about the gang activity down there. Garden City is relatively small (obviously way smaller compared to a California city.) You don't hear on the news about a drive-by shooting or gang wars on the news at all about gangs and that included anywhere in Kansas. I was pretty surprised to see that it is 44% Hispanic down there though.

No Kansas cities have problems with gang violence? Wichita had problems with gang violence for years until WPD beefed up its gang unit and targeted problem areas in 2007 and 2008 to bring gang violence down since then. In fact, the first use of federal RICO statutes against gang members in Kansas occurred in Wichita a year or two ago.

Have you ever even been to Garden City I also don't think you realize how big commercial agriculture is to the overall economy in that portion of the state. Most people who live in urban areas of eastern KS don't have any idea (no offense). If you take away those commercial agriculture centers in SW Kansas most of the western 1/3 of Kansas would be comprised of frontier counties.

Garden City has gangs and there is violence. I think some of the smaller towns - which do have gang activity, like to hide the fact they do - Like Dodge City!
