Default Wichita hair stylist recommendation

Hi all.

I'm a recent transplant from Georgia living on the northeast side of Wichita. My boyfriend and I have been here since August and I have yet to find a decent hairstylist who doesn't charge an outrageous amount. I'll admit I am spoiled; I was going to a woman in Georgia who charged $20 for a very nice cut (including tip). I don't want my hair washed beforehand (cowlicks cause my hair to be unpredictable when wet, and horrible haircuts tend to ensue...haha) and I don't have my hair professionally highlighted/colored.

I've been to two places -- Great Clips (worst hair nightmare come to life ) and Cheveux Salon. Cheveux was okay, but it was $40 for a girl to trim my dry hair and she took less than 15 minutes. She did a good job, but I don't know if I can fork over another $40 for 15 minutes of hair cutting.

I'd greatly appreciate suggestions on decently priced but GOOD hairstylists who are up-to-date on current styles. Like I said, I live on the northeast side of town and work out east towards Andover, so I'd like to find someone over here, but I'm open to suggestion.

Thanks in advance!!!

Hey! I am from Ga too And on the NE side of Wichita...

I like Julianna at Wal MArt, believe it or not. She is down at the one on Pawnee. Not too far, compared to driving all over Atlanta. Under $20 inc. tip and I tip well
I like shorter hair and have some crazy cowlicks to deal with. Plus I want something easy to care for and style. Wash , shake and go is my speed. She can just dry cut or lightly spray to cut.
She does a great job for me. I went to some of those fancy smancy places. Puleeze, I am not high maintenance!!

Reminds me, I need to go!
