Anyone vacationing in Hawaii?? (Kansas City: hotels, price, airport)

Aloha! I am hoping to find someone that is taking a trip to Hawaii in the near future. I would llike my elderly mother to come visit us and would like to find someone that could make sure she finds the connecting flight ok. Her flight would originate from Kansas City to Honolulu. Very flexible where the connecting flight is, the airline, and the dates. Mahalo!!

you can arrange for the airline she travels on to have a wheelchair and attendant to move her between connecting flights, even if she can walk......she can just say it's hard to walk distances.....

Yes, go with an airline that can help her find her way. My elderly mother went to Phoenix by herself and they were very good with a wheelchiar and making sure she was met by family.

Your mother will need to change planes though and it will be harder. Is there no one who can come with her? Airports can be confusing. My mother accidently went into the men's restroom. They don't have doors just an open path and the signs on the wall which direction to go.

I went to Hawaii last year and bless her heart, it seemed like a marathon to me. I hope she can sleep on the plane and get help with all her needs.

Since we just have a room here in Hawaii, even one guest is a tight squeeze. She will stay for 10 days so hotels are pricey for that long. Believe me I know about the restroom embarrassment first hand. Did the same thing at the airport and when I saw all those men I did an abrupt about-face! When I came out, a guy said, "I tried to warn you!"

Maybe if everyone keeps replying and bumping this up, I will find someone that is coming! Mahalo!!
