Can anyone tell me where Rose Mound Cemetery is? It is in Republic County. I need the exact address or directions to where it is. Thanks

I don't have the exact address but just drive to the small town of Republic, KS and anyone can direct you it is about 4 miles from there. It is a beautiful little spot and very well kept. It is a very historic area as well, just across the road from the cemetery was a small fort that help protect the Ft. Riley to Ft. Kearney road and later local settlers from raids by the Cheyenne. Also it is thought by many that a Pawnee village was once located on the this same hill. Hope this helps

Hi I have relatives in this cemetery. I will be visiting there this weekend. I found your request for its location as I was trying to get coordinates for it myself. Some of my ancestors donated land for this cemetery I am pretty sure. I finally found the coordinates at this site: Rose Mound Cemetery USGS Scandia NW Quad, Kansas, Topographic Map Directions - [Used the coordinates in Google Earth to get the directions] Rose Mound Cemetery between Hardy NE and Republic KS From Mankato, KS: Take 36 highway east 14.9 miles. [this juncture would be close to Scandia or halfway between Belleville and Mankato KS] Turn Left on County Rd 1 and go 5.8 miles Turn Right toward County Rd 1 420 feet Follow County Road 1 5.2 more miles Turn Right at County Road D and go 1 mile Turn left at County Road 2 and destination will be on the right Maybe I will see you there sometime.
