Default Interested in Greeley Kansas History? Gerhold Brothers
While going through my grandfather's belongings, I discovered a plate from a general store called the Gerhold Brothers located on Main street in Greeley Kansas. The store was open from 1887 to 1965. Wesley C. Gerhold and Frank S. Gerhold were the brothers and a son of a Ladoydt Gerhold who ran the store when it closed. The plate was a "give-a-way" during the late 20's to 30's. I would love to be able to find a family member interested in this plate.

My Mom worked for the Gerhold Brothers in Greeley before she was married. Somewhere we have a picture of her with LaDoyt. The Gerhold family lived "in the big house" across the street from my Grandma. One of my cousins now lives in the Gerhold home. LaDoyt & Louise moved from Greeley many years ago, not sure to what state, but I believe both have passed away as has my Mom.

we bought the gerhold building. we dont know any family members but we would enjoy having it on display in the building. thanks
