Default Wichita=80 year old woman

Does Wichita remind you of the 80 year old woman who thinks she is sexy? Every one knows where she lives but no one wants to visit.

What are you trying to accomplish with this poll? Are you upset at Wichita PD because you got ticketed for speeding? Are you pissed because you've been banned from these forums several times?

Wichita has many enjoyable aspects. I regularly go to concerts, enjoy coffee at Mead's Corner, take in countless art exhibits monthly, attend movies at the world-class Warren Theaters, shop at box stores and niche stores alike, attend musicals and dinner theaters, and so on. Join a bicycle club, go to the annual Midwest Winefest or Yappy Days, listen to music every First Friday throughout Old Town, go to the Blues crawl this weekend, go to Final Friday art gallery crawl tonight, canoe the Arkansas River, go to the Riverfest next month. Shall I go on? Who the hell cares if it's not Disney? What kind of comparison is that?

Haaaaa, LMAO. Your list reminds me of the home I looked at, a FISBO in Turkey Creek on Rogers st. The owner listed amenities as "Double pane windows, 2x4 walls [as opposed to 1x ] and 3 tab shingles" For the construction uneducated that’s the bottom of the line, tar paper is the next step down as it is plastic and tap for windows. No one that has a home under 30 years has single pane windows. So my point is sitting and drinking a cup of coffee at your favorite coffee shop as why Wichita is wonderful is pathetic as is most of you other so called amenities.
Not Disney, that’s like comparing a 5 yo chalk art on the side walk to a Van Gogh but as you say who the hell cares. LOL

I have family who have moved there only for work. They did not go for any reason and if the work runs out they will to as it is not the place they want to be. I visited there and it is a city. Not great not horrible just an industrial city that is lacking in some of the things that other big cities have. I suppose if you worked there that it could be home, but it does not have any real beauty as far as natural things go, no great parks, and the night life was all confined to mostly the Old Town area. There were some clubs in other places. I was told by my relatives that moved there that Boeing just announced another 2 thousand layoff yesterday. There is a lag time between bad economic hits and housing. So if I were to be buying a home I would wait 18 months, that’s the approximate time that it takes for all these layoffs to take affect. If you buy now you may find that your home is worth less than what you paid. I do not have my finger on the pulse of Wichita and as far as I know the housing market did not go way up in the last 10 years, so it may not have as far to correct. But it will have to correct even if it is 15%.

I really have to look at the poster's name before reading in this forum. Talbet, I'm finished reading your 'Debbie Downer' posts.

That sounds like an I'm going to take my marbles and go home if it does not go my way attitude. I always though adults could handle a bit of debate. I guess I was wrong.

Nah, it just gets old. You hate Wichita; okay, we get it. After awhile it's no longer worth listening to it repeated over and over. Seems like you should move to somewhere you like better.
