Let me rephrase that. Is Valley Hope still operating? I was there per court order in 76.

Valley Hope has A LOT of treatment centers, including the ones in Kansas. Searching their website is pretty easy:

Valley Hope Association - Alcohol, Drug and Related Treatment Services

The only person I ever knew to comment on the center's success was an alcoholic who had an alcoholic daughter whom he sabotaged from getting treatment, probably because he had no intention of getting help himself. Needless to say, he thought Valley Hope was a waste of time. I guess what you think of a treatment center's success depends what your goal is.

I know of a lot of people who go to the treatment centers in old town. I wonder with the recession on and many loosing their jobs if the bars are going to see an upserge? I know a bar owner who always told me that when times are hard his business went throught the roof. People would spend their last dime on a drink when they felt depressed.
