Default Places around McPherson

I will be visiting McPherson, Kansas in two weeks time. Are there any beautiful places around? What about restaurants, bars? I heard that this place doesn't have much things to do. Just wanted to know if there is something that I can do in my leisure time during two weeks.

Thanks

You could go over to Lindsborg to watch them be as Swedish as they can without actually speaking Swedish. You could run over to Galva and get a case of Iron Horse BBQ sauce, assuming Mr. and Mrs. Unruh still manufacture it--ask at the convenience store. You could also run down south of Hutch to Yoder and have breakfast at the Carriage Crossing, a good place to learn what kind of fuel Amishmen (and Amishwomen) require in order to perform the heavy labors many accomplish daily in agriculture. Also, in Hutch, there's the Kansas Cosmosphere. It's a bigger deal than you might think: when I was there last they had an SR-71 spyplane up on struts (enormous), the original Apollo 13 still with atmospheric burn pitting, a Me-163 rocket engine, a V-1 and a restored V-2. It's Smithsonian-grade stuff.
