Post Fireworks

Here in Johnson County, fireworks are illegal.

I think that they should be legal except for roman candles or anything that flies etc. I grew up with fireworks every year in JoCo, show or in my backyard. We should be able to do atleast some fireworks. I also think that if fireworks are legal in the dotte, they should be legal here, or illegal in both counties.

Uhh, no, they're not, at least not everywhere. We live in rural Johnson County and any firework that makes a bang is against the law, not that that stops people. Personally, I hate them. I hate the loud bangs, I hate the risk to life and limb, and I'm glad it's supposed to rain Saturday morning so the idiots who use fireworks won't start more fires.

I hate to pee on your campfire, but I never enjoy a night when it sounds like a war zone outside.

Oops, sorry! I read your first line as saying fireworks were legal. Better have my eyes checked!

That's why the majority of people flee to the lakes or down south for the 4th. I went to Linn Valley and saw the best fireworks show ever! Shot fireworks the 3rd and 4th and the cops even stayed for our show. Must be a small-town thing.
