I couldn't tell you about the CIS courses they have. I do know they are one of the best engineering schools in the country. The whole town of Manhattan is a nice town. If I was your friend I would take a trip there and see how they like it. Walk around and talk to people, ask them about it. I know I was able to site in on a few classes to check it out. Your welcome! Manhattan is A LOT safer then Wichita. They only thing you really have to worry about up there are drunk college kids. I do know they have a serial rapist up there. I don't know anything about the computer science program. I can tell you that Manhattan is a nice town that is growing like crazy right now.

Wichita unemployment rate is

Knowing this, though, it's difficult to compare the two cities economically or crime-wise given the fact that the Wichita metro area has approximately 500,000 more people than the Manhattan metro.
