Default Anyone heard of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky

I am curious if anyone here has heard of fort mitchell kentucky and can offer any comments good or bad about it. We are considering moving to Lexington or northern kentucky and Fort Mitchell was recommended by a friend of mine. What type of city is it? New? Old? Friendly people?

Fort Mitchell is a very nice city. If you drive in it you will find numerous old homes that are huge...especailly on fort mitchell avenue and beechwood road coming in from dixie highway. The people are generally friendly but you can tell it's an upper class area. The people are a bit snooty but nothing like Fort Thomas. I have never been able to figure out why people there are so arrogant. The homes there are nice but not nicer than in fort mitchell or park hills for that matter. In fact Fort Thomas seems to be a more middle class city compared to Park HIlls or Fort Mitchell...sorry to digress. In short I think you would like Fort Mitchell...the school system is great, the private schools are good in the area and it's a safe neighborhood.

Fort Mitchell is a very nice community. Very pretty, older homes, wooded lots with mature trees... Plus, you are only a few minutes from downtown Cincy. Some areas of Fort Mitchell have a great view of the city skyline too. There isn't much new development, but in my mind, that is a good thing.
