Wink Moving to N. Ky --what areas are safe vs. not safe

Hi everyone. I am going to be moving to N. Ky from Indiana. I am not sure of what areas are safe and which areas are NOT safe. I'm a female and will be coming in from work late at night, so I want to make sure it's a safe area.

I like the Edgewood/Crescent Springs area, but I haven't found any houses for rent in that area. It'd be great if I could find something there since I'm also going to school in that area.

I've seen homes for rent in Ludlow and Latonia, but not sure. I've had some tell me those areas are shady and I've read they are nice areas to live.

If anyone has any info, I'd greatly appreciate it. And, if certain areas in each of those cities are safe, please let me know. For example, 13th St and up, etc.

Also, if you'd reccommend another city in N. Ky and know of any houses/duplexes/condos for rent for at or under $650/month, let me know. Thank you all in advance!!

The only area that would be dangerous could be the area from 8th to 20th Streets in Covington.

Pretty much all of Covington, including Latonia, is shady. Only exceptions are the Licking Riverside neighborhood where the Ohio and Licking Rivers converge, as well as the southernmost (almost gerrymandered, look it up on a map) portions of the city limits.

Dayton, Ludlow, Newport, and Bromley have good and bad blocks. Ludlow is probably the best of the four, followed by Bromley, Dayton, and Newport. All are shady overall, but not really scary. Unless you just hate living around people with '80s mullets, wiggers and stereotypical child molester-looking types.

Every other community you can think of in NKY is very safe. You've found a very good area with Edgewood and Crescent Springs. I would also look into Fort Mitchell, Erlanger, Elsmere, Park Hills, Villa Hills, and Taylor Mill.
