I decided to visit eastern KY this Oct in order to see the beautiful colors of the leaves. I am endeavoring to secure employment in the eastern KY, but it is extremely difficult. Actually, the farther out I am, the better I would like it; hence, any place from Hazard to Pikeville would be great for me since I like my privacy and solitude!

Let me tell you.. ANYWHERE in Eastern Kentucky that you find work, you can also find solitude!

Any of the larger cities, like Ashland, Pikeville, Middlesboro are still very isolated. If you want to live in the country in Eastern Kentucky, you can pretty much work anywhere from the Tennessee border at Middlesboro, KY all the way up to Greenup County and Flatwoods, KY and live in a rural setting too!

ALL of Eastern, KY is very rural within a mile or so of the bigger type towns (which are still very small!), so if you find a job and the town life isn't for you, heck, just drive two miles or so out of "town" and you're in the country!
