Hi everyone...
I just found out that I'm going to Kentucky in like a week for a wedding! Surprise! I'm going to Bowling Green, and I'm wondering what sorts of things there are to do? I'm only going to be there for a few days but I would like to see at least some of the things in the city. Does Bowling Green have an aquarium or other aquatic related activities?

Thanks in advance!

Not much IMO and I grew up there.

Corvette Museum and Lost River Cave are fairly interesting. Bowling Green has a nice downtown square with a few neat bars and restaurants (440 Main and Mariah's are a couple). Beech Bend is a old time amusement park that I haven't been to in YEARS. But it is pretty neat if they have kept it up, there is a small water park and carnival style rides.

Other than that, you could drive 30 minutes up to Mammoth Cave. Also, Nashville is 1 hour south.

Yeah, take the extra time to go to Mammoth Cave - well worth it. Eat at Mariah's near downtown BG for some good eats.

Thanks for the advice.

Should be an interesting trip, I haven't visited the southeast in a while. I went to Florida at the beginning of the summer, but it was Walt Disney World so that doesn't really count.
I feel kind of embarrassed even bringing this up, but I've been reading some of the threads on here and I'm curious- is Kentucky one of those states that still considers itself "confederate"? Someone please tell me I am mistaken, because that freaks me out.

Once again, thanks for the helpful advice. Will definitely swing by Mammoth Caves if I get a chance!

Other than getting together on Friday for bonfires and talking about the good ole' days of the South and if we had just won the war not really . Come on now, don't believe stereotypes and fairy tales.

I wasn't about to believe it until someone told me to! Thanks so much for debunking that little myth for me...

Kentucky never seceeded from the Union, so it never was "confederate". The state was pretty much divided during the Civil War between Confederate and Union supporters. There is another thread here devoted to that topic.
