Hi -- my son is scheduled to graduate from Basic training the day after Thanksgiving, providing the schedule does not change once he reports in a couple of weeks..

Are there any pet friendly hotel(s) close to the base, Ft. Knox?

Does the base allow pets with their owners on a leash etc to attend the graduation? (Actually, he is only 5 lbs and would be in my or my hubby's arms the entire time but still have a harness and leash attached..)

I'm pretty sure we will be arriving on Thanksgiving evening -- any suggestions for a nice dinner?

Our son hasn't reported yet -- so he might be able to answer some of this stuff later on -- but I'm a planner -- so I am trying to get a head start -- especially being a holiday..

Thank you for your ideas!!!

You might be able to find out some of that information on the Ft. Knox web site.
