Exclamation Moving from Ohio to the Morehead, KY area...any suggestions?

Hey there! I'm in the process of relocating to the Morehead, KY area. I am looking for a 2+ bedroom home for rent in that area. I'm not familiar with the "good neighborhoods" so I'm looking for some advice! If you know of any rentals, please let me know!! Also, I'll need to find employment!! I have 9 years experience in a medical office background. Front desk, medical receptionist and STNA(nursing assistant). So, if their are any leads out there...please share!! Please email me at nicoleoney24@yahoo.com

Hi there,
So you are moving to Morehead. I currently live in Morehead, I attended and graduated from the University last year. Well if you are looking for a rental property there are plenty..houses and apartments. I lived in Pretty Valley, next to Clearfield, in a 2 bedroom 1 bath home and it worked out well. I also lived right next to campus, walking distance, and it was great. Really all of the neighborhoods are fine. Dry Creek can get a little redneck but it is safe. As for a job I am sure that you are aware of the hospital, St. Claire's. Maybe not the best rated hospital around, but it does serve a purpose for the small town. All in all I really like Morehead it is really starting to grow and it is just beautiful in the fall and around Cave Run Lake. I hope that I could help.

Check online at Abner Rentals for the Morehead area. They have a lot of townhouses, apartments, etc. Or you can try Amburgey Rentals (that's who I rent from currently). The are very nice people. They have houses, and mobile homes. Not sure if they have apartments or not. Also look in the Morehead newspaper at The Morehead News - Homepage most of the rentals in the area would be listed there. (It only comes out once a week). I currently live in the Morehead/Clearfield area myself. I don't really know of any neighborhoods that are "bad"... I've heard out Christy Creek can get a little rough, but no more details than that.

Good luck and welcome to your new home in Morehead, KY!!!

I would recommend North Wilson Ave....There's plenty of rural land available if you wanted to live right outside Morehead..
