I'm about to buy a motorcycle without a title. They said it came from a insurance sale with no title.

I'm going to run the VIN to make sure it's not stolen and make sure it doesn't have a lien.

If that's clear then how would I go about getting a title? Someone said I could get a bonded title, but they didn't know if I could use that in Kentucky.

Does anyone know if that will work for getting a title? Also how much would it cost?

Thank You

Thanks,

do you knwo anything about the bonded titles?

I found out today that the bike was sold from a insurance sale as a non-repairable / parts only bike.

Personally....I wouldn't buy anything without a title...that's just me though, I ain't never been acused of being too smart.

As for bonded titles, I don't know anything about it and have never heard of such a thing. You might get a salvage title. I don't understand it having no title at all....something sounds fishie to me.

Go to your County Court Clerk (in KY) ask them the possible consequences. Then stop by the Sheriffs office, too.
