We are here in Ky traveling.
We are looking for local newspapers with real estate advertised, and not having much luck finding this type of literature.
How can I obtain info of available properties while visiting different Areas?
We do not wish to engage a realtor at this time, and hoped the local newspapers would have this info, but are not having much luck. Where do yee guys advertise homes for sale besides a realtor?

Since most people go through a realtor, paper ads will be difficult. If you have a laptop with you, find some free wireless and try zillow.com for the area you are in or just drive around and check homes for sale by owner. You might also look in the newspaper stands near small convenience stores to find things like real estate shoppers that are free to pick up.

Depending on the region, the local realtors might put on a booklet or pamphlet of local properties for sale. I know the local realtors have a bin in front of their offices that has copies of a monthly bookley they put out listing properties for sale. Also, there are numerous websites which might help you, all the way from realtor websites to land for sale by owners.

If I could ask, which area of Kentucky are you looking at?

Find Real Estate, Homes for Sale & Houses for Rent on REALTOR.com - Realtor.com® If you see one you like, copy the MLS ID number then to go a realtor's web site from that area and put that number in the MLS search. You can get more information on it that way. Good luck!

Try online sources such as Tulia and Zillo. Newspapers are used less and less.

You might want to call some small rural newspapers and ask them to ship a recent edition to you. I don't that most of the list their entire classifieds sections on their websites.

Most realtors around here publish a monthly book of properties that are on the market. They can usually be found in Grocery stores and many other busunesses around town. If they aren't any left, just go to a realtors office and ask for one, I'm sure they would help you out. And...then there is the internet.
