Wink Renting a home in Northern Kentucky

HELP!!!!

My family and I are relocating to Northern Kentucky from South Florida. I am having a hard time locating single family homes to rent. I am a Real Estate agent in Palm Beach County and here, Realtors handle 95% of all rentals. That doesn't seem to be the case in Northern Kentucky.

Does anyone know a web-site I can go to? We are not looking for a apartment or condo. We just don't want to buy something untill we are there for a year to make sure my Floridian husband can stand his first winter.

If you have a house and don't feel comfortable posting here, please e-mail me @ Jeanne@JeanneGreek.com. Please put Kentucky in the subject line.

Thanks!

Hey.. there are a few sites but nothing like what FL has (I know b/c I just moved from KY to FL).

I have a house on the market in Villa Hills and would be thrilled to rent it out for a short while and I would gladly stop the "for sale" situtation for a while if you were interested.

Please PM me if you would remotely be interested in checking out our house.

Thanks,
Tracey

I found Apartments for Rent and Homes for Rent, Home Rentals Homes For Rent Rent Houses Timeshares Property Investments at RentalHomes.com were some of the places I looked to post my house in KY to find renters. Also Craigs list is decent place to look.

Zillow - 922 Palomino Dr, Villa Hills, KY 41017
Thanks!!

OK!

I have the dates that my family and I are coming up to look for a place to live. I have a few homes to look at, but we have decided that a townhouse would work to. Does anyone know of anything? We are only going to be there for a few days and want to see as much as we can. We are hoping to relocate at the beginning of the year!

Thanks!

How do you like Florida? I am leaving Florida to go to Kentucky. Is there a reason you moved to Florida? Is Kentucky a nice place to live?

kas --
Kentucky was nice. We lived outside Cincy and honestly... even though it's a great place to live and raise a family, I also felt it sucked me into complacency with my life.

Keep in mind I lived for 20 years in CT then my parents moved me to Dayton OH. I hated it. Then I finished college and loved Cincinnati.. so considering I've been off and on in Cincy since 1990 -- it's been great.

I really like warm weather over snow.

I like Orlando. I know there are problems here but we moved back for a 2nd time.

I will say this.. I work for a huge company and when my hubby and I first started to get the moving bug, we were open minded for anything south.

I researched (on this forum) - Nashville, Charlotte, Jax, Dallas, Houston and Atlanta

I wanted to be within an hour or two to the ocean. I wanted a growing economy. I wanted low cost of living.

Obviously Orlando isn't quite there yet on some of those areas, but there was an opening doing exactly what I wanted to do so I went for it and got the job.

I figured my hubby who has been a freelance designer while being stay at home dad working on his bachelors online kind of guy -- would never find a decent design job in Orlando.

Guess what? He got a great job making 13k more then he was in Cincy (granted that was 2 years ago) and landed the job in 2 weeks! So I am blown away. I guess that tells you perhaps the qualified candidates aren't out there.

Looks like your Nashville bound. I really liked the weekend I spent in Nashville. I just didn't feel like I could call it home. I do really like Atlanta and if I am ever promoted that could be a destination I could live with (even though it's far from the coast).

My other all time favorite place is Charleston SC

Good luck with your move. I decided to spill the beans for those upset with Orlando. I am pleasantly surprised on the growth of the clients I am supporting and encouraged that real estate is finally starting to fall.

It must get back at least to late 2003/early 2004 prices for the normal people to afford to live down here.
