We would like to move to NKY but can't afford the housing. Are there any towns (outside of Florence,Union, etc) that may be a bit farther out but are still nice and have some shopping. Anything with housing under $130? A town that you can get a bit more for your money yet is still a decent commute to Cincy? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Ann

what price range / size are you looking for? Maybe try Wilder or outer Florence... the farther out you get, the more affordable it gets.

Hi CincyUK,

Thanks for replying. We're looking for 3 bed/2bath under $130 in a nice suburban town with some shopping/low crime. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ann

I really think you can find that in a lot of places, a little farther away from the town centers. Outside Florence, that is doable... really all over the three top NKY counties is possible if you keep your eyes peeled. The closer you get to Cincinnati, the tougher it is, but its always only a short drive away. It's really tough to name specific towns because, because a lot of the best spots will be outside these "towns"... try around tailor mill, florence, wilder... you could even look all the way down to Crittenden, but would be a bit farther commute.

Rest assured, you'll be able to find what you're looking for and its a buyers market rigth now. My favorite way to search is on Yahoo! using their real estate search engine... it allows you to include all the different "mini towns" in NKY which are really suburbs of cincy. Luck!
