To the OP - this thread is simply not necessary. This isn't 1966 - you will have no trouble. Those few that won't accept interracial marriage in 2014 are just as likely in California as Kentucky or Georgia for that matter...and that lack of acceptance will otherwise not be apparent to you so it's doesn't matter.

I strongly disagree !

It depends upon where in the state of Kentucky you move to.
There are still towns in the south ( and across America ) where the town is nearly 100% white and the majority of the town folk say they like it that way.

I doubt they would be overtly hostile to black people who did move there, but why would you want to take a chance ?

I have lived in over a dozen states, most in the South. The racist, backwards redneck stereotype that is so pushed on tv is as false as they come. I have seen more ignorant racist people up north by far. Thank you for makin assumptions though

I've been in Kentucky for over twenty years. Yes, there are racist people here - my father's wife is one of them. She's more than happy to use the n word several times a day. My ex boss was just the same, but less vocal about it because of his position. I once had a coworker say she stopped watching a tv show because it showed a mixed couple - her disgust was that deep. And no, I don't live in a tiny rural town.
