Marmac.......you got a good one in Tubby ! He will do wonders for the team!

Believe it or not, being a native Kentuckian I am not ( WHAT! ) a big basketball or horse racing fan..........(Gasp from all) . Married to a "yankee" that hates KY sports...........

I'm a fairly recent transplant from New England, and will always love the Red Sox and Patriots ....have embraced UK sports, too but will never root for the Colts, Bengals, or Reds .
No kids here, but have a bunch of dogs and several horses, and love thoroughbred racing (and obviously, this area!)

Well, I love basketball, and when I get the chance to see UK play, I love it. All I see here in Canada is Hockey. Nothing like UK basketball. I like watching Louisville too as long as they aren't playing UK.

I presently live in De Pere, Wisconsin which is just outside of Green Bay. I am the mother of a boy and girl who are both grown. Note: I didn't say grown-up. It is my intention to move to Kentucky in June if all goes as planned. Still not sure where but I'll figure that out soon. I have 2 puppies who have been a real blessing to me and I'll try to attach a picture of them. I'm looking forward to living in Kentucky as I've always felt that I should have been born in the south and I consider Kentucky to be south. I feel that it's where I'm meant to be at this time in my life and all the pieces will fall into place.

I just saw this thread I'm actually 46 miles from Louisville & 42 from Lexington. In Spencer County. My interest for basketball this yr has, decreased due to the loss of my wife of almost 30 yrs 4 1/2 months ago. This has been a very hard yr, I just find it hard to be in a very cheerful mood anymore.

Dustdemon, I'm so sorry for your loss....the holidays are especially hard for those who have recently lost someone. I know you have wonderful memories of your 30 years with her, and hope those are comforting.
And we're glad you popped in to say hello....
