KYcoyote is on a distinguished road
Something i think everybody oughta be aware of: Extreme overlap of HS work with direct community involvement across the commonwealth specially at small town local levels.

Typical at Kentucky is newspapers recruiting students to write coverage of local news. Students get published before the age of 18. Radio stations typically include couple of weekly programs operated entirely by HS students. And HS football games during championship play-offs git broadcast on local networks with student broadcasters televising the event. County Fairs: cattle-judging contests, demolition derbies, turkey shoots, hill climbs and tractor pulls often won each year by enthusiastic youngsters.

Kids grow up FAST given the kinda responsibility they find here. Oughta be no surprise that KY High Schools rate so favorable on national level. Question of spirited seamless society where potential in action counts for alot, given opportunity for direct involvement at early age.
