I was just curious to see how many people are from or live in Cynthiana. Check out www.Cynthiandemocrat.com (broken link) and look @ top 10 stories of 2007. People who call Cynthiana "beautiful, great place to raise a family" are nuts.

Feb. 16 = At 1:30 a.m., Carlos Gonzale, Poplar Street, reported that he was attacked, assaulted and robbed by five or six men while Gonzale was trying to get inside him home. He described he attackers as being black males who he alleges kicked him and took his wallet containing $200 and his ring worth $250. Gonzale had a busted lip and a cut to his knee.

Feb. 16 o?= At 4:57 a.m., police opened an investigation into injuries received by William D. Burgess Sr. Burgess alleged that he was assaulted causing a head injury, for which he was taken to Harrison Memorial Hospital and later transferred to UK. People who were with Burgess told police that he had fallen and struck his head.

Feb. 17 o?= At 10:07 p.m., police were called to investigate an alleged attack of a pedestrian. The victim told police that another woman tried to run her down with her truck and that she tripped and fell causing injuries, which were being treated at Harrison Memorial Hospital. The incident allegedly occurred on Pleasant Street.

Feb. 18 o?= At 8:07 a.m., April Wilson reported that her truck had been vandalized. Four tires had been cut and the gas tank allegedly sugared.

Dec. 15 o?= At 11:40 p.m., Cpl. Walter Tapp filed a report regarding an incident where Miguel Ayala attempted to flee from police by running through back yards to get to his sistero?=s apartment.

Feb. 18 o?= At 9:29 p.m., police were called to MSP Shell Mart for an alleged altercation.

Feb. 19 o?= At 3:16 a.m., a woman alleged that she had been harassed by her estranged boyfriend. She and the subject had lived together in Paris. Police advised her to apply for an EPO through the Paris Police Department.

Feb. 20 o?= At 2:11 p.m., police were called to Fourth Street where a woman alleged that her boyfriend had thrown a bowl and broken it, that he had taken an earring and sold it and that he had thrown a radio at her.

Feb. 21 o?= At 1:45 p.m., police investigated a domestic disturbance. A woman allegedly struck her husband after she alleged that he struck her minor daughter. The woman was arrested after admitted to striking the man.

Feb. 16 -- John Roberts, 46, was arrested at 102 N. Main St. and charged with criminal trespassing.

Feb. 16 -- Marcos Gonzales, 23, was arrested on Fifth Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.


Feb. 17 -- Brittany Taylor, 18, was arrested at Harrison Square and charged with alcohol intoxication.

Feb. 17 -- Leonard Henry, 55, was arrested on Walnut Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.

Feb. 20 -- Erike M. Berry, 27, was arrested on Pleasant Street on a warrant for probation violation.
Feb. 20 -- Carmen Ayala, 24, was arrested at Harrison Memorial Hospital and charged with resisting arrest, intimidating a participant in a legal process, terroristic threatening.
Feb. 20 -- Clifton David Swartz 25, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.

Feb. 21 -- Christopher B. Robertson, 27, was arrested at 313 W. Penn St. and charged with fourth degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury
