Question Warsaw area....is it a safe & good place for a family?

Please help ! My family and I may be moving to the Warsaw (or a nearby area within 30 minutes drive of Warsaw)....does anyone have ANY kind (good or bad) of info to offer about the area(s)????

We have never been in that part of Kentucky but we have read about it and found lots of opinions (lots of good & lots of bad things!!!!) about "Northern" Kentucky and now we are confused as to what to think!

We really need the "straight-up" facts, whatever they may be, from all types of people (any race, age, upbringing, etc....) who live or have lived in the Warsaw area.

Also, what are the elem. schools like in Warsaw (or nearby)....are there certain schools that we would want to AVOID all together? If so, for what reason should they be avoided????

We are wanting small-town living/atmosphere and if the town is too small to have lots of businesses then we would hope to at least be able to live within a reasonable driving distance to a town that would have a hospital/Wal-Mart/Home Depot or Lowe's. We don't care about fancy dining or loads of Malls....we just want peace and quiet where we can settle down and live happily ever after, have some land and maybe have a horse or two!!!!

Thanks for any help anyone may have to offer

Susan

I don't know anything about KY except what I've been reading on posts or on internet sites. I'm looking up mountain areas in KY, NC, VA, NC, and WV in the hope that I'll retire in one of the areas.

Anyway, I looked up crime in Warsaw and from what the sites says, it's really low in crime overall.

Good luck on your search.
