We will definitely be checking out the sites. Not so sure about superman but we might check it out. My husband is a big spiderman fan. But I know he wants to teach the kids how fish and enjoy a relaxed enviroment. So I believe that Kentucky would be a good fit for us.

Thank you all again for the information.

I think you'll be very impressed with West Ky !
My job sent me from Detroit to Lexington 4 years ago(yippee, ticket out!)
Within a couple months, they sent me to West KY. They wanted me to look for housing in Calvert City(No thanks, Delray if you know what I mean). I ended up movin to Lake City/Grand Rivers area. Less than 1/2 hour to Paducah. And it was like living in a resort town.('up north' as we said in Michigan.) Nothing agaiinst Paducah, I liked that town also. And it is the 'big city' for most shopping needs.
When I was transferred a year later to Chattanooga,Grand Rivers was still 'home' and I came back 2-3 times a month to visit friends and my church. Amazing, considering I only lived there one year! I 'bonded' that fast and miss it to this day.
Paducah Newspaper you have to pay to read ads online, here's other sources: for news: NewsChannel 6 WPSD - NewsChannel 6 WPSD Classifieds: I cannot find the link, maybe someone else has it? A free shoppers classified ad newspaper available in Paducah. (Similar to 'Tradin Times' but free) Real Estate, google towns and real estate, lots of choices. Paducah will be OK, but living by Grand Rivers, between 2 lakes, heaven for your fisherman! I even knew of some commercial fishermen that made a living catching catfish there.

Davart, when there were several Big John stores in the area, my dad said he was going to get one of those big "Big Johns" and put it in the back yard. Want to guess how long it took my mother to vote that down? lol That was from the Mayfield store.
